25.5.2026: The 7th Nordic Conference for Rural Research, was arranged in May 19– 21 2026 in Joensuu, Finland, under the theme “Changing Nordic rural realities”. 107 participants attended the conference, 79 from Finland and 28 from Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Iceland, Germany and Estonia.We heard three Keynote lectures with commentators and there was 12 working groups with 71 presentations on a wide range of topics.

Thank you to all participants for the fruitful discussions and the warm atmosphere!

The next conference will be arranged in 2028 in Norway, likely Trondheim.
